Traditional Village Kassiopi, founded by the Romans in the 3rd century BC, is the major center of northern Corfu. Also dubbed as "Kensington-on-the-Ionian" for the massive presence of posh British society, the village is surrounded by dozens of upscale villas, and features a lot of good dining.
Amenities, water sports, banking, car rentals, and travel agencies are everywhere.
There are a number of beaches around Kassiopi, other than the city beach, that can be reached by foot and by car. Among the most notable are Imerolia (500 m past the village), Kalamionas, Bataria, Pipitou, and Kanoni.
